The Blind Pig, Ann Arbor
I had the honor last night of opening for "The Plastic People of the Universe" at the lengendary Blind Pig in Ann Arbor. "The Plastic People of the Universe" are from the Czech Republic and formed in 1968. Their sound is one of a kind and they have an unparalelled history, experiencing heavy resistance from the communist party in the 1970's and imprisonment for their music. Search the band's name on the internet and read the history of the band it's fascinating! They are currently on a U.S. tour and you can see tour dates and hear their music from their myspace page. It was a very inspiring night. Little Cow from Budapest is opening for them on their tour and they are definately worth checking out as well.
